Academic Overview

St. Mary's Academy is a kindergarten through grade 12, Catholic, independent school located in Englewood, a suburb of Denver, Colorado. Founded in 1864, St. Mary's Academy granted the first high school diploma in the Colorado Territory in 1875.

St. Mary's Academy is a school where tradition, community, and excellence enable students to achieve each day and in their future as citizens of a global community.

St. Mary's Academy attracts students from the entire Denver metro area and educates students of varying backgrounds, interests, and talents. Twenty-one percent are students of color.

The faculty and staff of St. Mary's Academy value community and are dedicated to creating an environment where students are known as individuals and learn to respect themselves and others. We achieve this through curricular programs, arts and athletics, community service projects, and clear expectations of what it means to be a caring, compassionate member of a community. We cherish the opportunities for community-building that a school with such a broad age range of students affords.

While all one Academy, each division has a unique ambience appropriate to the developmental, educational and social need of students.
