Get Involved!

There are several ways for alumnae to get involved at St. Mary’s Academy.  Alumnae support is critical to the livelihood of SMA, and this does not always mean making a financial contribution.  The Alumnae Office has a variety of opportunities for alums to help support St. Mary’s Academy by volunteering their time and effort.

Please contact Amanda Dwyer at 303.762.8300x283 or amanda_dwyer@smanet.org for further information about these opportunities listed below.

Alumnae Board
The Alumnae Board is composed of dedicated alums who meet throughout the year to discuss issues within the alumnae community, plan alumnae events, assist in fundraising efforts targeting alumnae, and serve as liaison between the school and the greater alumnae community. Meetings are held throughout the year and will alternate from dinner meetings to lunch meetings to work with the variety of schedules of the board members.

The year's first meeting of the Alumnae Board is September 19, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. It is open to all alums and is an excellent opportunity to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.

Alumnae Volunteer Corps

The Alumnae Office needs assistance throughout the year with various efforts including but not limited to: mailings, gift-wrapping, general event preparation, and other office tasks.  Some of these tasks need to be completed on campus; however, some, such as mailings, can be done at home.

Alumnae Phonathon

This year’s alumnae phonathon will be held throughout the fall months.  The main focus of the phonathon is to provide alumnae volunteers with an opportunity to speak to alums in the greater community to discuss the importance of financial support from alums, thank alums who have already contributed, and share current news on happenings at SMA.  We are always looking for new and enthusiastic phonathon volunteers.
