Welcome to the St. Mary’s Academy website. We hope you will take a moment to peruse and learn a little bit more about this extraordinary school founded in 1864.
For more than 140 years, St. Mary’s Academy has educated young people to be thoughtful, faith-filled, creative and responsible citizens of the world. SMA’s history includes strong and able pioneers, Sisters of Loretto, who dedicated themselves to building a school that would serve all children and enhance the future of Denver, of the country, of the world.
Each day we continue to live that mission.
Each day we are a school that nurtures community and fosters a school spirit that is felt far beyond the boundaries of the school campus.
Each day we advance ourselves. SMA is a school still filled with that pioneer spirit—that desire to go one step further, to do something a little bit better than before.
Each day we demonstrate that we are a community not only founded on the values of faith, community, justice and respect, but one that continues live these Loretto School Values through our actions, our words, our prayers.
