Admission to St. Mary's Academy

Parents interested in a values-based, academic education will find St. Mary's Academy a good choice for their student. Our community mirrors the metropolitan Denver community with students from a variety of racial, ethnic, economic and religious backgrounds.

St. Mary's Academy seeks a diverse group of students of good character with a record of scholastic success or demonstrated academic promise and the potential to make positive contributions to the St. Mary's Academy community.  St. Mary's Academy looks for students who will grow academically, spiritually and emotionally in a nurturing environment.  These students should be comfortable with and benefit from a challenging academic program with complementary co-curricular activities.

The admission process includes a written application, parent comment form, an essay (grades 2-12), teacher recommendations and record release. Prospective students tour the school and spend a day visiting. Girls applying for high school also take a placement test in December.  Decisions about acceptance are made by the Admission Committee, which is composed of teachers and administrators.

Tuition assistance is need-based and the awarding of tuition assistance aid is handled separately from the admissions process.
