Current Openings:
The Middle School is reopening a search for a full-time teaching position in 7th-grade algebra and pre-algebra for the 2013-14 school year. Algebra and pre-algebra are core academic classes. A candidate for this position will need experience teaching the grammar of algebra and mathematical problem solving. In addition, the position includes coaching an elective or teaching study skills, serving as a teacher leader for a multi-grade community action team, and being a collaborative member of the seventh-grade teaching team. A minimum of three years experience is necessary and a graduate degree is preferred though not required. The Middle School is opening a search for an instructional media technologist with energy, initiative, creativity and skill as a collaborator. The job includes learning Destiny, a library management tool, instructing students in the use of iPad apps and research skills, and collaborating with teachers in the planning and implementation of research projects. The instructional media technologist would work directly with students and teachers throughout the Middle School, help manage a 1:1 iPad program and maintain the media center environment. Teaching experience and comfort with technology are important qualities for this position.
