Assistant to the Academy President
Full-time/Year-round staff position

The Assistant to the President position spans responsibilities related to the functions of the President’s office, supporting the Board of Trustees and supporting the President with external and internal marketing efforts as well as other duties as assigned.  The position requires a person who is flexible, detail oriented, likes a school atmosphere and writes well.  

In the President’s office, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•  Keeping the President’s calendar, distributing mail, assisting with correspondence
•  Answering the main phone when the receptionist is unavailable
•  Welcoming/receiving visitors
•  General management of the office supplies
•  Managing and recording budgets
•  Handling and processing expense reports
•  Coordinating meeting room sign ups
•  Coordinating All Academy calendars
•  Assisting with event set up as needed
•  Overseeing and managing student workers
•  Supporting Directors of Advancement and Finance with administrative duties as needed
•  Generating, editing, coordinating and posting the school’s weekly e-newsletter
•  Serving as a resource for information for parents, teachers, students and alumnae
•  Other duties as assigned

For the Board of Trustees, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•  Attending all meetings on the Board Calendar, will include evenings and some weekends
•  Taking accurate minutes
•  Attending to regular communication with board members
•  Distributing agenda and materials to members in a timely manner
•  Maintaining records of meeting minutes and materials
•  Room set up and event set up for Board events

This position also supports the President with marketing activities, including, but not limited to:
•  Working closely with the Director of Marketing
•  Updating and reviewing information on the website
•  Posting and maintaining SMA presence of Facebook, Twitter
•  Sending All Academy email blasts
•  Taking photographs of events on campus
