Award Winning Writers

The Denver Branch of the English Speaking Union had its 2^nd Annual Dr. Howard F. Beckley Writing Competition on the topic of “The Language of Freedom”.  Out of over 40 submissions, Holly Pretsky (12^th) received 2^nd place for her essay titled “Immortality and Influence of the Written Word”.  Sarah Heyborne (12^th) and Maddie O’Connell (12^th) both received Honorable Mentions.
