Connecting with the Navajo Nation
The 8th graders had a Skype visit from Benjamin Barney, an elder from the Navajo Nation. The students and Benjamin conversed about culture, specifically how the elements of the Navajo culture is different and similar to our own and how the Navajo culture is changing and influenced by our own western culture. The MS made a connection to Benjamin through friends in Peru and hope to build this relationship between all three communities and develop it into an amazing cross cultural experience for the MS students and SMA.
