Model UN Team Receives Awards

Congratulations to the St. Mary’s Academy Model UN Team!  At the recent October 1st meet, Kennede Reese and Elaina Villanueva (a beginner delegation) received honorable mention and Madison Taylor and Sara Van Velkinburgh (an intermediate delegation) earned best delegation. The meet consisted of three councils: the beginner Security Council, which discussed resolutions to human trafficking and terrorism in Pakistan, the intermediate Security Council, which created resolutions to combat the spread of terrorism and the advanced North Atlantic Treaty Organization (N.A.T.O.), which spoke of NATO’s involvement in the Libyan crisis.
