Women in Science
Dr. Jensen, the Associate Dean of the School of Engineering at Marquette University, and Molly Baker, a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate, were invited to speak to Ms. Sharp’s high school science classes. Ms. Baker spoke about women in engineering and gave a lesson on bridge building. The students then designed and built model bridges from 20 spaghetti strands, which were then load tested.
