Sports camps earlier in August had the biggest attendance ever as students geared up for the fall sports season.

Get ready for Middle School volleyball, cross-country, field hockey, and soccer. In High School the athletic program features volleyball, cross-country, field hockey, and softball.

When the weather cools down, enjoy an afternoon on the SMA fields. There's no better view in town!

Campus spiffed up for the start of school

Summer found the campus lively with Academy Adventures, the Challenge Foundation classes, staff planning for the coming year, and many projects to enhance the campus and student learning.

The summer projects included:

All-Academy
Grounds and athletic fields improvements
$120,000+ of technology additions
Painting in school buildings and Sanders House

Lower School
New carpeting in most classrooms
New furniture in the entry area
New roof on the 4/5 classroom area and vacinity

Middle School
New intercom and bell system
New furniture for the teachers’ lounge
Replacement panel for air-conditioning

High School
New carpeting and paint in the fine arts wing and the east wing classrooms
New heat detectors in several locations
Work on heating system water pipes

These are facilities enhancements. Add to them classes, professional development, and curriclulum writing teachers were involved in over the summer, and be ready for another great year at St. Mary's Academy.
